Alpe d'Huez
Reaching an altitude of 1,850 meters, Alpe d'Huez is famous for its 21 hairpin bends, numbered in reverse order to the summit. Since its first appearance in the Tour de France in 1952, this 13.8 km climb with an average gradient of 8.1% has become a legendary passage that has forged the legend of many champions.
